Pork and anime 🎎

🇬🇧🇯🇵 It seems the Japanese just love some good British pork to go with their daily anime episodes! According to a recent report from the UK’s Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), pork exports to Japan are on the rise: shipments are up by 54% when compared to the same period last year. 

     • Despite being the world’s eleventh-biggest country and third-biggest economy, Japan imports around 60% of the food it consumes and has been steadily increasing its demand for high-quality pork.

👀 With that in mind, UK officials will play it smart and attend Foodex Japan, a four-day food exhibition in Tokyo where they’ll showcase national pork to promote it and potentially increase shipments in the year ahead. Click here to learn more about it.
