One size does NOT fit all 🚫
Apr 21, 2023✉️ That’s what seven agricultural groups and organizations told the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) – well, not exactly that, but you get the idea! The letter came after the proposition of a rule that requires public companies producing goods from agricultural products to report emissions from their respective relevant operations.
🧑🌾 The point is that Wall Street rules intended for publicly traded companies shouldn’t extend to family farms and ranchers, since such a rule would burden them and thus, hinder agriculture – and for no real environmental benefit.
