🇲🇾 In 2022, insect producers in Malaysia became eligible to export insect-based material to the EU and the UK for the first time – joining a small selection of countries allowed to do so. Why is this important? For two reasons:

     • One: this is a boon for the Malaysian economy, heavily reliant on agricultural exports.

     • Two: Nutrition Technologies, the company that got the permit – now the first in Malaysia with this level of approval – produces high-quality and low-energy insect-based materials that can now enter the European market and fuel its rapidly growing sustainable pet food sector.
