A victory for the good (green) guys 🌱

🧑‍⚖️📃 A huge victory for hog farmers who are adopting innovative technologies to protect the environment: a North Carolina administrative law judge has rejected a challenge to a general permit issued authorizing the construction and operation of methane digesters for animal waste management. In other words: the digesters will remain exactly where they are!

     • Digesters produce clean, low-carbon, renewable natural gas by capturing methane emissions from hog lagoons – such projects by hog farmers reduce greenhouse gas emissions and flooding, as well as provide diversified income streams for family farmers. The details are here.
