Meet the guest:

Dr. Janak Dhakal earned his Ph.D. in Poultry Science from Mississippi State University and now serves as an Assistant Professor of Animal Sciences at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. With over twelve years of experience in food microbiology and foodborne pathogen control, his work focuses on Salmonella, antimicrobial resistance, and pet food safety.
