Dr. Joao Dorea is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, specializing in developing and implementing artificial intelligence technologies for dairy and livestock production. He earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Animal Science from the University of São Paulo in Brazil. His work focuses on computer vision, image analysis, and animal-level monitoring to improve nutrition, health, and welfare outcomes.
